What is the employer's duty toward his employees under Section 2, Health and Safety at Work Act 1974?

The employer’s duty under Section 2 of the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 is to ensure, so far as is reasonably practicable, the health, safety and welfare of all their employees at work. This includes providing safe systems of work, safe premises and equipment, adequate welfare facilities, and providing information and training. The employer must also consult with their employees on health and safety matters.
