What is the case law in English case Stevenson v Mclean?

Stevenson v McLean is a leading case in English contract law. It established the principle of the postal rule, which provides that a contract is formed when an acceptance is posted, rather than when it is received by the offeror. In the case, McLean made an offer to sell goods to Stevenson by post, and Stevenson accepted the offer by post. However, before the acceptance reached McLean, he revoked the offer. The court found that a contract had been formed, as Stevenson´s acceptance had been validly made by posting it, and McLean was therefore bound to sell the goods to Stevenson. The postal rule established by this case provides that where acceptance is communicated by post, a contract is formed as soon as the acceptance is posted, regardless of when it is actually received.
